Shane Warren
Location: Sydney is my home base but I work all over Australia, with monthly visits to Melbourne and the Gold Coast; as well I have rooms in Singapore and Hong Kong I visit every six weeks.
Phone: 02-8213-2442
Email: admin@shanewarren.com
Website: www.shanewarren.com
Nationality: Australian
Languages Spoken: English (and very poor Mandarin / Cantonese as I married into a Chinese family; plus high school French)
Religious Affiliation: I am very open to all religious beliefs as I was educated in a Catholic school, I hold theology training from an ecumenical base; but half my family is Jewish and my in-laws are very devoted to practitioners of Buddhism and Taoist practices.
Clinical Specialties: I work from a very broad base thanks to one area of interest being emotional resilience, an area I have been published internationally on, most notably the work I did with Drs Venkat Pulla and Andrew Shatte titled ‘Perspectives on Coping and Resilience’… My clients tend to be drawn to me when they are in a space of total loss and really needing some time out where they can explore the ‘what’s next’ option in their lives.
Cross-Cultural Experience: As a child my family spent time in many countries across Africa, Asia, America’s and Europe; so from a very early age I was introduced to different ways of living and thinking about things. Since 1994, I have practiced my work as psychotherapist, coach and leadership consultant from rooms in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. I am currently one of the preferred providers of cross-cultural coaching/training and repatriation support work for a number of multi-nationals who are shifting team members across the Asia-Pacific region. I have also had the good fortune to co-facilitate world leading training in for HR practitioners and professional coaches in the area of cross-cultural leadership development; as well as having the honour of co-publishing a book within this space alongside Prof. Jonathan Passmore titled: ‘Diversity in Coaching: Working with Gender, Culture, Race and Age.’
