In various hospital settings, I also regularly conducted trainings for psychiatrists, psychologists, and pediatricians related to cultural competence and culturally sensitive health care practices. My clinical research has focused on how cultural differences affect families of different ethnic, religious, and linguistic backgrounds when they attempt to use mental health services for their children. Currently, I provide mental health services both to an international population of college students at an American university in Madrid, as well as children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds at Sinews MTI.
