I have been helping clients through video or phone counseling for the last 15 years. I also offer a sliding scale. I start with this information as with the current world crisis, both are essential to help people face the present crisis, the fear, helplessnes, isolation and sense of unreality.
I talk to people in Canada and worldwide. Together we will work to help you cope with the current crisis, calm your fears, hopefully bring some sense to a world that may appear surrealistic.
I hope at the same time to facilitate personal growth by discovering new ways of coping as well as gaining a greater understanding of yourself and the world around you. Empathy and compassion are always key factors in counseling. I work with such issues as depression, anxiety, alienation, interpersonal difficulties, cultural adjustment, childhood trauma, etc. My approach is eclectic including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psycho-dynamics, conflict management, existential psychotherapy and art therapy.
In both my work and personal life, I have gained the understanding of what it means to be a TCK, expats or immigrants-refugees and the difficulties of adjusting to a new culture or several different cultures at once. I have worked closely with people from varied cultural and social backgrounds as a counselor in multicultural centers in Montreal and now in my current longdistance counseling service. My services are available to people in Canada, traveling or living overseas through either Skype, WhatsApp, VSee or phone.
