- Profile
I work with BIPOC women and expats who struggle with anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, trauma, and ADHD. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, self-critical, or mentally exhausted—especially while navigating life across cultures, identities, and systems. Living abroad or between worlds can intensify overthinking, pressure to “hold it all together,” and feelings of isolation or burnout.
As someone with a multicultural background, I deeply understand the emotional complexity of cross-cultural living—balancing different expectations, identities, and values while often feeling misunderstood or needing to stay strong. I recognize how systemic and cultural pressures shape mental health, and how much courage it takes to seek support when you’ve learned to rely only on yourself.
I take a trauma-informed, collaborative approach to therapy and specialize in ERP for OCD, ACT, Brainspotting, and IFS (parts work). Together, we work on reducing anxiety and compulsive patterns while also addressing deeper emotional wounds—often without relying solely on verbal processing. My goal is to help you gain clarity, flexibility, and a grounded path forward that aligns with your values rather than fear or perfectionism.
Over time, clients often notice intrusive thoughts feel less consuming, anxiety becomes more manageable, and self-criticism softens. Many feel more grounded, confident in their decisions, and less driven by the need for reassurance. Therapy becomes a steady, supportive space for meaningful and sustainable change.
Wherever you are in the world or in your journey, you are welcome here as your full self. And occasionally, my cat may join us in session—but rest assured, she takes confidentiality very seriously.
I offer a free 15-minutes consultation to discuss your needs and see if we might be a good fit. During this confidential conversation, we can discuss your goals for therapy, any questions or concerns you may have, and how my therapy practices can align with your specific requirements. Please feel free to email at xylong0715@gmail.com to schedule the consultation.
