Welcome to my practice. Why have I registered on this website? Well, I grew up in a military family and as a child lived between the UK, Europe and West Africa. In adulthood I’ve spent time living in Israel, backpacked in China and Australia, and visited the Gulf (Qatar and Oman), and the USA in addition to many European countries. After years based in London I decamped to the British countryside for a while, before embarking on my latest adventure when in 2020 I emigrated to France.

So I have a really good understanding of what it means to be itinerant; to be an outsider looking in, but to also observe the ubiquitous similarities between all people. I understand that even when travel and living ‘abroad’ is a pro-active choice it can still present you with the challenges of transition: language, customs, climate and cultural differences, housing, laws, administration, and isolation from family and long-term friends. And of course, for some people moving to a new country is not a choice. Whatever type of traveller or immigrant/ex-pat you are, you’ll want to celebrate your adventure and grow through your experience but you are not immune to the usual challenges of life; traumatic experiences, stress, anxiety and depression, ill health, relationship breakdown, bereavement or financial worries. You still have to deal with all of those!

Which is where I can help. I initially trained in London as an Integrative Psychotherapist and have been in practice for over 20 years. As I began to deepen my understanding of myself and other humans I additionally trained in Somatic Experiencing , EMDR, Brainspotting, the Rewind Technique, Biofield Tuning and other sound/energy therapies. I specialise in treating single event and developmental trauma, attachment disorders, and the general dysregulation of mind, body and energy field.

In addition to my private practice I previously worked as an Organisational Psychotherapist for Transport for London and was Clinical Lead at the world renowned Khiron Clinic , the residential centre specialising in trauma recovery.

My online practice (occasionally face to face in France) has an automated appointment system for your ease of booking, whatever your time zone.

I’m a therapist whose integration of skills, experience and approach are quite unusual, and who is also supervised and insured to work with you wherever you are.
