- Profile
I am Anja Dittmeier founder of kAleiDoscope Coaching & Counseling. Based on my master’s degree in education, psychology and theology I have been studying how one’s individual and cultural upbringing shapes the way we interact with our outside world.
As a coach, counselor and therapist, I am licensed as a health practitioner for psychotherapy (HPP) by the State of Berlin (Germany), certified in Attachment-Based Counseling and Attachment Psychotherapy, certified cross culture trainer, certified coach (ICF) and certified optimize coach, trained in Imago relationship therapy and integrative trauma therapy.
Within this threefold profession, I am specialized in empowerment coaching, in relationship and couples counseling, as well as in holistic and integrative psychotherapy.
While my family and I were living abroad in the United States for 4.5 years, I coached and counseled locals and expatriates from around the globe. This personal journey led me to co-author: USA-Expat-Quick-Guide.
Knowing the challenges that go along with mastering one’s professional and personal life as an expatriate abroad – including raising two third-culture kids (TCK) as well as leaving everything well known behind – my clients can benefit from my attachment-based and culturally sensitive approach.
It is one of my main convictions that the way we grew up – even in a trans-generational sense – has a tremendous impact on how we perceive our personal and relational lives, our profession and how we are shaping our future. Having coached and counseled clients from more than 30 different cultural backgrounds and identities has proven to me the tremendous impact of culture and attachment.
It is therefore this conviction, that lies at the very foundation of my attachment-based and culturally-sensitivity approach to coaching, counseling and psychotherapy.
Applicable methods and techniques that can be used in sessions include: Brainspotting and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), The Wholeness Work®, meditation, breathing and mindfulness exercises, tapping, visualizations, and techniques of resource activation, as well as elements of CBT.
