I am a fully licensed clinical psychologist and psychotherapist (charter Ordine Psicologi dell’ Emilia Romagna, license number 8130), with extensive training in cognitive behavioral psychotherapies. I provide both short term psychological support and counseling and longer term psychotherapy, which draws from a wide range of techniques and approaches.
I studied in the United States obtaining my BA and MA in clinical psychology (2006, City College of New York; 2011, Columbia University in the City of New York), and a PhD (Università di Bologna) in 2017. In the United States I worked in numerous world-renowned institutes based in New York City (Mount Sinai Medical Center, Columbia Psychiatry, New York State Psychiatric Institute) and in Italy trained in the public health psychological services (AUSL) working with both adult and adolescent clients.
I recently trained in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute with which I collaborate. I have also authored numerous peer reviewed scientific research articles on depression, eating disorders, and therapy outcomes published in prestigious research journals.
