I have over 10 years experience in counselling in the United Kingdom, and having now moved to Italy I am particularly aware of the issues which arise due to different cultures and lifestyle.
I am a member of BACP.
My training started at Cancerbackup (now merged with Macmillan) where I spent three years studying and counselling clients dealing with cancer related issues.
That experience led me to further study the Person Centred approach which treats people with dignity by respecting the individual and allowing them to make informed choices. My aim is to be non-judgemental and genuine in all my relationships.
I believe that everyone should have someone to whom they can ‘say the unsayable’ in a safe environment thereby allowing the individual to take more of a lead in the process so that he or she can discover their own solutions. This can be empowering and allows the client to make appropriate changes going forward.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone conversation so that we can assess if my approach will work well for you, and if we proceed we can go on to discuss how many sessions might be required.
