Dr. Giovanna Silvestri

I grew up south of Rome, in a large and open family where art — music, theatre, video — became an early passion that has never left me.
My path to becoming a psychotherapist was not a straight one. After exploring different fields of study and working in contexts far from my inclinations, it was precisely the experience of feeling lost that pushed me toward what I truly wanted to be.
I graduated in Clinical and Community Psychology at Sapienza University of Rome and specialised in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I am a member of the EAGT and hold a Diploma in Phenomenological Gestalt Psychopathology from IPsiG in Turin, where I am now a faculty member. I have built my training across European and international contexts, developing collaborations with colleagues from different backgrounds and countries.
I work as a clinical supervisor with a phenomenological-Gestalt orientation. My areas of interest include trauma, LGBT+ issues, and menopause — which I approach from both a clinical and existential perspective, through international workshops in person and online.
My journey continues to be nourished by the dialogue between psychotherapy and art, in a constant movement between clinical rigour, personal growth, and curiosity for human encounter.
