I am an Italian Constructivist Therapy. According to the abovementioned approach, I will use the therapeutic relationship dynamics to help the person achieve greater emotional and relational self-awareness.

My master’s degree in Clinical and Health psychology helped me to dive into the psychological treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral illnesses such as alcoholism, eating disorders, or depression. Specifically, I have worked in several Italian hospitals with individuals who have suffered from anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorders.

That experience turned out to be very useful for my professional career – I observed patients being treated under a group diagnosis in Italy rather than with the individuality that they required. Not only did I realize how important the therapeutic relationship is, but also how crucial it is to take into account the person’s cultural, family, and relational background.

Thanks to a year-long experience in Canada, I saw how much multiculturalism is considered valuable. Today, I believe in combining the clinical aspect with the cultural to provide a multifaceted approach to treatment for patients where both cognitive, relational, and cultural aspects can be taken into account.
