- Profile
A psychologist for those who live between worlds: between countries and cultures, between potential and reality. For those who feel out of sync, wherever they are.
I work with adults and young adults who have moved countries or moved back home, with people who grew up between cultures (Third Culture Kids and adults, mixed families), and with gifted, intense, neurodivergent minds who have always felt different, wherever they live. Many of my clients belong to more than one of these groups: that overlap is exactly where I work.
I have lived and worked between worlds myself: two careers, two continents, two languages, and Third Culture Kids of my own. I trained in psychology in South Africa and in Italy, and I keep training with international schools in narrative practice and trauma-informed work. Before opening my practice, I spent over ten years in crisis, child protection and psychosocial services within leading organisations in both countries, supporting adults, young people and families, training counsellors, and later leading a multidisciplinary team. That is where I learned to listen, and what it means to do so as a foreigner, in a language that is not your own. Coming home, I discovered first-hand that returning is a migration too: today I also support international professionals and returning expatriates through career and life transitions.
I like to describe my work as a process toward a clearer sense of identity, integration and purpose. Sessions take place in my practice in Milan (Porta Venezia), walking in the city’s parks (Walk & Talk), or online with clients anywhere in the world, including Italians living abroad. In English and in Italian.
