Remote/online counseling, $100 (USD) per hour, negotiable. I significantly discount my rates for ESL teachers and military/family members living abroad. Please ask me more about this.
I am familiar with the struggle of living outside of one’s comfort zone, while also finding new senses of home and family in a completely new culture. I spent my earlier years as a child of US expats in Europe, and then lived in Japan and South Korea in my 20’s both as an ESL teacher and in the US Military. I am now raising children in a bi-cultural, dual language family. My personal experiences provide me with immense familiarity to expats and third culture individuals, as well as the unique experiences of military and their families living abroad.
I provide integrative psychotherapy and self-directed learning utilizing cognitive and transpersonal psychology, specializing in Buddhist-influenced approaches (Morita Therapy & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy/ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Using principals of mindfulness practice along with physical movement, I work with clients to build self-compassion and find freedom from whatever memories, behaviors, and mindsets are holding you back from living the life which you desire. I am a generalist and my specialties include helping with anxiety, addictions, trauma, and performance enhancement.
My goal here is to help people thrive and live meaningful, creative lives wherever they find themselves. Current services are given online in Japan, online and in person in the United States (Vermont & Massachusetts), and online in other jurisdictions on a case by case basis. For online counseling, I use HIPAA compliant videoconferencing software to maintain confidentiality and prevent security breaches.
Please inquire! I am happy to see how we might work together.
