My approach is person-centered; I believe there are huge benefits in integrating techniques from Forward-Facing Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, (Trauma- Focus) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness/Grounding, and Narrative Therapy. I maintain the Tri-Phasic Model and work with my clients towards Empowerment and Resilience building. I put a huge emphasis in building a collaborative relationship with my clients. There is not a “one-size fits all” when it comes to therapy, so it would not make sense to only use one therapeutic approach. I feel it is extremely important to continuously check in, adapt and evaluate with each other as we go through this journey together.
Incorporating nutrition and well-being is a core element of the therapeutic process. Sometimes we lose focus on other aspects of our well-being when things are overwhelming and challenging. I want to shift the focus to your sleep cycles, eating habits, physical exercise and caffeine intake. By learning to listen to our bodies and understanding how to support them better, we empower ourselves to develop healthy lifestyle changes.
