Illuminate Counselling

My approach is rooted in the person-centred tradition: unconditional positive regard (which means seeing people exactly as they are, flaws and all, and genuinely accepting and caring for them), deep empathy, and authenticity. I work to create these conditions in every session, because the evidence consistently shows the extent to which the quality of the counselling relationship contributes to making change possible. I work with people of all ages, neurotypes, cultures, and walks of life to help them see, connect with, and draw on their own deep-seated value to heal and grow towards flourishing in whatever way is most authentic and meaningful for them. Whether you are navigating a crisis, simply feeling that life could be better, or anything in between, I would be honoured to walk a part of your life’s journey with you.
