Recover, reset, renew your resiliency the Emotional Logic way.
In working with others, I draw from a deep well of training and experience, tailoring coaching sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I’m a UK trained and registered Social Worker with more than 30yrs experience helping others with transitions, trauma and grief – professionally and personally. While working in the UK, I specialised in child sexual abuse as well as fostering and adoption with two leading child care and protection NGO’s (NSPCC and Barnardos). During this period, I completed a BACP accredited certificate in Person Centered Counselling including Transactional Analysis.
More recently, I trained and qualified as an Emotional Logic coach. This is an innovative system of therapeutic coaching tools that helps to transform the energy in grief into increased hope, wholeness and peace. I love learning and am currently completing training in other therapeutic coaching methods such as NLP and timeline coaching.
Spending a year of my degree course on an exchange program in Knoxville, Tennessee gave me the global mobility bug. I lived internationally for almost twenty years, raising three now adult TCK’s in Bahrain, Qatar, France and Holland before repatriating to Cumbria, England. Where circumstances allowed, I established and reestablished my private practice, working with adults and adolescents referred by international schools, churches and embassies.
I have been a youth group leader in international churches in most of the countries I have lived. I am also a writer having realised that through books, I can help significantly more people than 1:1 coaching. Surfing Through Grief: 7 Stepping Stones to Hope and my expat memoir Count Only Sunny Hours: my journey to Hope will be published next year.
