Being a Greek that was raised in one of the Middle East’s most international cities (Abu Dhabi) and having lived in 4 countries so far, I find the connection of culture and psychology irrefutable and fascinating. I have grown up, come into contact, lived and worked with a myriad of people from incredibly diverse backgrounds, cultures and religions. I have an understanding of what it is like to move to a new place with a different culture, language and set of ethics and I can truly appreciate the emotional roller-coaster that can often follow such transitions. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work as a psychologist in numerous settings that brought people of different cultural backgrounds together to work and flourish (NGO’s such as Doctors without borders, Praksis, Health Point Foundation).
I have also had the opportunity to work with adults with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) for more than five years using Applied Behaviour Analysis.
