- Profile
I offer integrative therapy for adolescents, adults and couples, working online with clients internationally and in person in Shoreditch and Soho, London. My approach integrates person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural perspectives, so therapy can be responsive to you as an individual rather than organised around a single therapeutic model. Depending on what you need, our work may involve exploring earlier experiences and relationship patterns, understanding how these continue to affect you in the present, and developing practical ways of approaching difficulties differently.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, bereavement and loss, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, low self-esteem, life transitions and chronic pain. I am particularly interested in helping people make sense of experiences and patterns that may feel confusing, persistent or difficult to change, while creating space for greater understanding, choice and movement in the present.
International and cross-cultural experience is an important part of my practice. I am American, have lived in several countries, and now live and work in the UK. I therefore bring both professional and personal experience of navigating life across cultures and outside one’s country of origin. I welcome clients living internationally, including expatriates, immigrants and others exploring questions of culture, belonging, identity, transition, adjustment and home.
I also worked for several years as a school counsellor in international schools and have extensive experience and training working with children and young people from internationally mobile families, particularly Third Culture Kids (TCKs). This has given me a strong understanding of some of the complexities that can accompany growing up across countries and cultures, including repeated transitions and losses, questions of identity and belonging, changing relationships, and the experience of feeling connected to multiple places without necessarily feeling fully rooted in one.
These experiences shape a practice that is attentive not only to psychological difficulties, but also to the cultural, relational and social contexts in which people live. I aim to offer a thoughtful, collaborative and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you can explore what has shaped you, better understand what is happening now, and consider what you would like to change. I offer individual and couples therapy, as well as a free 15-minute consultation for prospective clients.
