I have extensive experience working with people in transition on issues such as trauma, depression and anxiety. Since becoming a psychotherapist 15 years ago, the majority of my career has been spent working abroad in the U.S., Argentina and Cambodia. I set up a practice here in London 5 years ago, and have been working here ever since.
I worked in Cambodia for 10 years, during which time I founded a clinic, Indigo Psychological Services (which is now called The Bamboo Centre). Most of the clientele there were teachers, aid workers, military, entrepreneurs, business people, and some local. I still act as a consultant for the centre, visiting once a year.
My experience working with expats here in London, to Buenos Aires, to Phnom Penh has given me a lot of insight into moving between different worlds and the stresses it can create; whether its between different developed countries, or transitioning from or to developing.
