As a Canadian Certified Counsellor with my Masters in Counselling Psychology, I have experience counselling for a wide range of concerns, with a special interest in topics related to cultural transition and trauma. I started out my life growing up internationally, so discovered early the adventures and challenges of living between cultures. As an adult I have continued living oversees, working with displaced populations in emergency-aid contexts. Both these personal and professional experiences formed my heart to serve and care for those facing displacement, as well as those living and serving internationally.
As a counsellor, I see the importance of caring for the whole person, mind, body, soul, and heart. In addition to my masters in counselling psychology, I have trained in a variety of counselling approaches which focus on, trauma processing, communication in relationships, processing emotions, present focused practises (such as mindfulness), and narrative meaning. I draw upon these modalities, integrating them to meet the specific needs of the individual. At the core of my counselling, my hope is to provide a safe space of compassionate listening, where your story is held with the greatest respect and value.
I love adventuring in the wilderness (especially the mountains) and being creative (whether drawing or writing), along with good books, cozy socks, and cups of tea! I look forward to getting to know you! The best way to contact me is via my website, where you will find simple online booking, secure Telehealth, and professional international counselling.
