Hello, my name is Jacqueline and I am a UKCP and BACP registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist, living in London.
Over the last 25 years, I have worked extensively with people who experience all types of emotional distress, much of which is exacerbated when moving or living abroad. The stressors, traumas and emotional pain that we have experienced over our lives, can travel with us from country to country, city to city, resurfacing when facing new transitions.
Having lived, studied and worked in 3 countries (UK, Israel and USA), I know first hand the stressful nature that transitions and culture shock can have on our emotional wellbeing. Straddling different cultures, religions lifestyles and values, poses challenges big and small all or which take getting used to and understanding.
Since returning to the UK, I see many expats from all continents in my private practice.
I work from an attachment perspective, with emphasis on: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, sexuality, religion & spiritual challenges and transitions.
My practice is now exclusively online during the COVID19 pandemic. Otherwise, I also see people face to face in my Shoreditch and Hertfordshire offices.
