Place Category: In-Person Therapy Practice
My practice is currently closed, but I am available for professional consultation.
My work is informed by relational, psychodynamic, family systems, attachment-based, cross-cultural, and transpersonal perspectives. Areas of clinical focus include, but are not limited to, Third Culture Kids/Global Nomads, multiethnic/cross-cultural adults, international expatriates and repatriates, immigrants and migrants, and adults who are undergoing significant life transitions. I also have a long-time interest in Jungian archetypal psychology and poetry and am a published poet, writer, and editor.
I was born in Japan and raised in a bi-racial, cross-cultural family; attended local and international schools in the USA, Micronesia, and Japan; as an adult, have lived and worked in Los Angeles, Tokyo, the San Francisco Bay Area, and New York City; as an LMFT, have worked with adult individuals, adolescents, children, and families from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and in a variety of treatment settings.
