Hayfield Healing is a trauma-focused psychology practice for people who are ready to go deeper.
I’m Dr. Maria Niitepold, a licensed psychologist, Estonian immigrant, and US Marine Corps veteran. I know firsthand what it means to navigate life across cultures, to rebuild identity in a new country, and to carry experiences that don’t always translate. That personal history shapes the way I work with clients who hold similar complexity.
I specialize in EMDR, Brainspotting, and the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), with a clinical focus on complex trauma, narcissistic abuse, childhood emotional neglect, relationship trauma, self-doubt, perfectionism, and insomnia. I have a particular passion for working with immigrants and first-generation Americans, as well as veterans, military-connected clients, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy here starts with one core belief: your symptoms are not the problem. They are your nervous system’s best attempt at a solution. Our work together is about understanding what is underneath, and helping your system finally feel safe enough to let go.
Hayfield Healing offers telehealth and in-person sessions across New York and Florida. As a PsyPact participant, I am also authorized to provide telehealth services in 40+ additional US states.
