I have been in practice for 28 years, and specialize in working with couples, families and individuals focusing on developing successful strategies for dealing with life transitions and the stressors associated with those. Those transitions include moving domestically and internationally, becoming parents and raising kids, changing jobs, facing loss, etc. I work with intercultural/interfaith couples, and their third culture children, on understanding their differences and developing a richer relationship. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Insight Therapy, and Neuropsychology to successfully treat Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Postpartum Depression, Women’s Moods, and achieve behavioral changes.
I am originally from Brazil and have been living in the United States for 30 years. I was raised Catholic (non-practicing), and am married to an American who was raised Jewish (non-practicing). We have two children who were born in California and Atlanta, and have raised them in an International community, speaking multiple languages, and developing tolerance for and appreciating differences. In my practice in Atlanta, and before in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have always worked with the expat community.
