Moving across the world can be a very isolating and challenging experience– one that challenges you physically, emotionally and spiritually. And you are doing all of this without the support network you left behind. You have been courageous in your risk, but even risk-takers need help for success (and beginning therapy can be a very courageous thing, indeed). Has a traumatic event occurred while overseas? I know what it feels like to need help while overseas because I’ve been there. My hope is that everyone, even those in the most remote locations, know they have access to quality mental health care.
