Multi-cultural issues, transitions, relational distress are a few of the specialties I work with. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois and completed my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with high honors and my B.A. in Pre-Counseling from Moody Bible Institute.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and groups, ages 12 through adulthood. Because no one person is the same, I help each gain clarity about your unique struggles and strengths, supporting you in the discovery of yourself, others, and God. I create a safe place to explore challenges and compassionately walk with you through pain, anxiety, and challenges, to bring relief and healing into your lives.
Before counseling, I experienced living in several different cultures and sees both the beauty and the pain of transitioning and integrating cultures within a person. I guide others toward recognizing their true identity, regardless of their culture(s), allowing them to live their life to the fullest.
Outside of the office, I occasionally facilitates classes at her church and am on the worship team. I regularly teach at workshops at partnering churches. I am passionate about time with friends, exploring wherever I find myself, and experiencing new cultures. I often finds myself camping, biking, swimming, attending musical theater, cooking and baking (particularly creating new recipes out of what I have available in the moment), and even DIY and small mechanical repairs.
Specialties: depression, anxiety, multi-cultural issues, life transitions, child-parent relationships, eating disorders, relational distress, grief and loss.
