- Profile
I offer Schema Therapy and CBT for adults and adolescents. I am often described as a warm, empathic person who creates a comfortable, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment. Unlike the distant, silent psychoanalyst stereotype, I am a real person in the room. I respond to what you tell me, ask questions, and will even share a laugh with you. My approach is based on the premise that relationships are essential in shaping who we are as people and how we experience the world.
I have lived abroad for almost a decade and understand the many issues that arise while being away from home and adapting to new cultures. I see therapy as a way to help you develop more fulfilling, intimate, and authentic relationships and feel better emotionally and physically.
My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, career issues, relationship difficulties, cultural adjustment, loss, trauma, and adjusting to new situations. I work well with diverse clients, including those of different ages, genders, races, ethnicity, sexual orientations, religions, and social classes.
